Day 52 Leadore to Gibbonsville Idaho 80 miles

I slept for 10 hrs, usually i sleep 7 or less, but the grass was nice and soft and maybe breathing the smoke from the fires and drinking 5 beer night before  had something to do with it.
By the time i left the camp it was 10 am, I just wanted to get to Salmon today about 30 miles away and take it from there.

It was a really nice sunny day, high 70's

When I arrived at Salmon the smoke was very thick, plus you could smell it, spent couple hrs in town and after i got bored i left.

All of a sadden the smoke disappeared

Day 51 Aug 16 Teton to Leadore Idaho 121 miles

I slept pretty good by the school, it was just a little too bright, one time i woke up and i thought that it's the police with a flashlight in my eyes.
Whenever I'm not sleeping in the tent packing is much quicker, i was on the road before 7am.
It was nice and cool, almost no cars on the road, about a half hr into a ride a guy stock his hand out of his car and flipped me a bird, I thought to myself he  probably is  having a bad day, or maybe he knows me.

Once i started going northwest on 28 this is what i started to see, not much!
Sometimes when the wind stopped, it was a complete silence.

Then it got little more interesting, trees!

By early afternoon i rode by this place, bar/dinner/ grocery store, there is nothing 40 miles in either direction. So i decided to stop for a cold one.

This Lady has been running this place for 27 years, she didn't even acknowledge me when i walked in, she was just watching some show on TV, i guess she knew the dog is watching me with one good eye.

back on the very exiting stretch of Idaho highway

there was a lot of smoke from the fires in the north part of the state

Finally i got to the town of Leadore, the last 5 miles felt like it was never going to end, the wind was blowing  hard all afternoon.

Stopped at town only store to by something for diner, and asked about a place to stay for the night.
