Day 36 Aug 1 Mount Rushmore to Breakneck hill WY 63 miles

I woke up early today because i could not wait to scramble up a big boulder next to the camp, it was about 60 feet high, 5.2+ on the way up and  5.3+ on the way down.

After a little running on the rocks I headed toward the Crazy Horse Memorial, on the way there i found 9$ on the side of the road, sometimes when I'm going up hill i look for stuff on the side of the road not to think about peddling that much, so far I found: bag of paint brushes, pooper scooper(brand new) camera, 2 packs of cigarettes, and i see a lot of life jackets, anybody need one?
When I got to Crazy Horse I found out that it won't be finished for another 20 years, i didn't even go in, you   can see it fine from the road.

Town of Custer

I met Russ in the Laundromat, he been coming to Sturgis since 1979 on this motorcycle

When I was doing some food shopping in Custer,  Robert ran into me, he is from Slovakia and started his trip with his wife in Mexico, After Yellow Stone wife drove to NJ and he's going to bike there.
his ODO 9500+ miles

Robert

After leaving Custer I went back up toward  Spearfish but thru Wyoming, I hate to go back the same way. I found  another dollar on the side of the road, this time it was single.

    1. When people asked if I took a weapon, I told them I took my Bible. No gun for me either. They say the bears are as afraid of you as you are of them, not so sure about that but I would be sure to stay away from any cubs. You'll be fine. ;)

  3. You would think that, in case of a bear emergency, a rifle would work better than a spray. BTW, this Robert from Slovakia must have been on the road for more than 3 month to clock over 9.5K miles. Very impressive.

Hmmmm Life Jackets??? Maybe a hint? Remember that one I wanted to pick up in NY? like NEW!!!! I was going to strap it on and give to someone down the road.
