Day 31 July 27 Ellendale ND to Wallworth County SD 120 miles

                                  South Dakota

I was kind of surprised to see South Dakota so soon, sometimes I don't look at the map that closely, kind of follow the sun :)  My plan for today was to get to Aberdeen and then go west as long as I can.
I got to Aberdeen little after 10 am, it was only a 40 mile ride from Ellendale, looked for library and place to eat.  After  1hr library break and lunch at SUBWAY (I like subway) I  got on rte 12 west which had a nice shoulder and wind in the right direction, the temp. were still in the 100's.  the scenery started to change a little too, more open space.
After I left Aberdeen I continued west with a nice breeze on my back, it was  a nice relaxing day :)

I still had about an hr of day light but my legs had enough,  I pulled in to a farm and asked a lady there if i could set up my tent somewhere on the property, they put me up at their farm house office, it was nice and brand new. On the morning Laren showed around  the  farm. Big operation,  100's of acres, high tech equipment, he plants wheat, soy and corn.
