Day 41 Aug 6 Gillette to Sheridan WY 107 miles

After breakfast and looking at the maps with Steve i got back on the road, my goal was to get at least to Sheridan.

Steve and his wife Mary

There is a lot of coal mining going on here

Berry that i stayed in Moorcraft with operates one of these shovels

Drew and  ????? i forgot :(
I met these guys on the way, they were going to stay with Steve and Mary
Drew uses 2 storage containers as his rear panniers, practical and original.

you can see it a little here, on the left

road side bar "spotted horse"

woo hoo 3000 miles!!!!

And my favorite time, time for supper ha!
Tomorrow I have to go over a pass so beef is on the menu.

Ride to Sheridan was kind of windy but not all the way, wind  around here changes direction all the time, some hills too but nothing to cry about :)
Tomorrow should be more interesting as far as climbing hills goes

When I got to Sheridan i camped at city park.

  1. Wow, that is some distance. You would break 4K miles before getting to Seattle! How do you like this cycling computer? I was thinking of buying the same model.
