By early morning i entered to Wisconsin.
Lake Superior in Ashland
very tasty water
On this stretch of road i saw a bear, he crossed it about 50 yards in front of me, 200 lb or so
later i met his Dad
This guy is pretty amazing!!!
By late afternoon i got to Superior, about 5 miles from Duluth. Jay picked me up from there because crossing the bridge was very tricky and dangerous plus i was beat, driving the last 5 miles felt good and looking at the shoulder on the bridge made it feel even better.
When we got Down Town we still had sometime to do a little site seeing
I traded my bike in for this, nothing like 4 wheels :)
The Aerial Lift Bridge, hr earlier and i would see a 1000 feet ship go by
famous Grandma's restaurants behind me, this is where Grandmas's marathon ends
Campsite by Lake Superior, about 3 miles from Down Town Duluth

Wes is looking great! I warned him to soak in the greenery as NDak and Mont...may not have as much!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to show Wes the North Shore Sites of Split Rock Lighthouse and Gooseberry Falls too. We sampled smoked fish and pancakes too.
It was especially nice to talk and not have to worry about hitting tires or talk over the wind! Keep on pedalin' !!!!!!!!!
By now you are seeing North Dakota...hope there are no snakes trying to sneak into your tent! Pretty country in its own way....the Great Plains!
