Day 3 June 29 Highland to stalker 48 miles

Woke up at couldn’t sleep much, started getting ready for departure. It took me min. to make breakfast and pack everything, its not like I was making something special just pouring hot water into oatmeal, I need to work on that.
First hour and half it was great even big hills didn’t butter me, took a little detour to go along a small stream on a dirt road, but it didn’t last long it put me back on 97 in less than a mile.

By around i got to border of PA to a town called  Narrowsburg, from there  I crossed the border and continued  to town called  Beach Lake.
Before I left home I planned to get to Beach Lake and from there shoot toward Ithaca.
It turned out to be  a grueling  5.5 miles of intense incline, on the last mile I came up with a brilliant idea that if push the bike I get a full body workout so that’s what I did :)
When I got to Beach lake I was pretty tired and hungry, it was little after  so I went for lunch to a Dinner/gas station.  That’s all there was Dinner/gas station and cigar shop and probably  a lake with a beach witch I didn’t see. Got a burger, after 2 hr lunch and looking at the map I decided to turn back to NY and stay on Rte 97N, it’s nice being close to water. On the way back there wasn’t much peddling involved  the only time I had to move them was on turns so I don’t scrape the asphalt :) For the rest of the day I kept climbing steep hills, the weather was not helping either. To cheer my self up i would stop for swimming every chance I got.  3x
At the end of the day I crossed over to PA again to find a campsite, nice girl at the desk gave 30% crosscountry discount and a can of soda I was smiling.

on the way to Beach Lake haha only if i knew
