Night at the stream was pretty quite, only saw couple skanks but after they sniffed out my tent they went on about their business. Got up at 6:30am , packed my stuff , did not feel like eating pushed the bike back to the road (5 min. Hike) started heading north on Rte 38.I planned on Sunday being my day off but could not stay by the river i figured i get to Ithaca find a place to stay and rest for a day or two.Riding on Rte 38 was fairly pleasant, little bit of head wind but flat. Stopped at a supermarket for some breakfast, got blueberries, yogurt , turkey sandwich and a gallon of water after eating that i just wanted to go to sleep, unfortunately Ithaca was 30 miles away so i had to keep moving. At some point a gentleman caught up with me, he said he was 85 years old we talked for a few min. but i was not to happy with his pase so i stayed behind. When i got to Rte 79 west (straight to Ithaca) i started feeling a little stronger, just in time because i had to climb some hills again, luckily after couple miles they seemed to be in my favor, last 10 miles was a breeze.Befor noon i was Down Town Ithaca, started looking for a hostel first i checked on line nothing came up, i went to a tourist center got a booklet with all the hotels in the area but i found nothing in my price range (12.50$ :) I checked the map and decided to continued north on Rte 89 along lake Cayuga, beautiful ride.
Early afternoon i arrived in Taughannock Falls i went toranger station hoping they have campsite (it was a weekend) well the place was packed but because i was traveling on bicycle they put me up on a emergency site.
