Day 7 July 3 Taughannock Falls to Webster 101 miles

After day and a half rest  I was  anxious to get back on the road, by 7am I  was back on the road, Rte 89 along Lake Cayuga smooth with a nice shoulder and a view of the lake every now and then. In  first  1:10 min I covered 19 miles, all of  a sodden  I see a bright object in the distance as I get closer I see that is a person!  riding a bicycle! Caring luggage just like me, great I'm thinking my first encounter with a bicycle tourist.
I pulled up next to him said hello, we stopped to introduce ourselves and see who’s going where.
It turns out that his name is Jay Thompson a science and math teacher from Minnesota, he took his bike on the train from Minnesota to Rochester NY and was riding in Finger Lakes area for week now.
So for the the next 2 day we were riding together, It was nice to have some company. Jay was not knew to the area or touring on a bicycle, he used to live here about 20 years ago. He did not have specific route planned so he diceded to  escort me closer to Canadian border.

Jay can You please help me out with this one, I would love to hear what You have to say, beside  i'm falling behind and please don't say You don’t remember I saw You write things down.

  2. Those WERE some great pics...wonder who took them!?! oh yeah, me...

Wes, that was Sodus Point Light House...and the Sea Way Path road at times! Crazy HOT...my bike said 111.2 F in the sun one day!

That statue was of Susan B. Anthony , Stanton, and other women suffragist ??? Historic meeting area for women's rights/voting etc.

One definitely NEEDS to be brightly colored when motorists whisk by at breakneck speeds at an arm's length while they are texting or distracted by the beautiful scenery...
